β‘ Iri Sunglade
The Eternal Flame

Origins
When Iri was born, she shone with the brilliance of a thousand rubies. Amon and Dazara Sunglade were shocked to see their daughter with crimson scales protruding from her forehead, unaware that from her ancestors she carried dragon blood in her veins. Thus, they decided to child name her after the Elven word for ruby, iriador.
Iri spent her childhood in the fabled city of Evereska, where her natural affinity for fire magic was quickly discovered. Subsequently, she was mentored by the best teachers how to control her wild flames. "One day", they would say to her, "you may need to use them to protect herself or others." This reasoning only strengthened her desire to leash her power more tightly.
Though she faced some resistance from her parents, she eventually left Evereska to explore the world outside of her birthplace's cloistered walls, settling down in Baldur's Gate as an artisan, which she put her all into. Her daily life was mundane but safe, with not a soul aware of her prodigial upbringing, or so she thought...
Appearance
- Iri's left eye is auburn orange, while her right eye is a silvery blue, though it can look either more silver or blue depending on the lighting.
- Iri's eye colors are not a result of Volo's mishaps, contrary to popular belief. It's a much more boring result; she was simply born that way.
- Her hair color is strawberry blonde with red highlights throughout, while her scales atop her forehead are a complimenting coral red, with a slightly metallic and shiny finish.
- She was also born with the red highlights in her hair, and her forehead sports shiny draconic scales on both sides, which is another reminder of the power she holds.
- Her build is generally slender, lithe, but also a touch fragile.
- She also prefers flowy or as little clothing as she can get away with. She believes that more fabric brings about a suffocating feeling, which tends to affects her magic.
Dynamics
- Her favorite spell to use is Scorching Ray. She practiced using Disintegrate in camp and almost hit Volo (and accidentally vaporized his hat instead), so the spell is currently unused in her arsenal.
- She's a great cook, and enjoys helping Gale prepare the party's evening meal. Her favorite dish, recently picked up from her travels, is Neverwinter Stew.
- Her personality is similar to Karlach's, so the two get along extremely well. She is also very close to Wyll because they're both the same age, and he likes to teach her dances in his free time.
- Since she's spent most of her life in Evereska, she tends to be somewhat naΓ―ve and wistful in situations. Astarion tries his best to remind her that life will never be exactly as you expect, using himself as an example.
