Origins

When Iri was born, she shone with the brilliance of a thousand rubies. Amon and Dazara Sunglade were shocked to see their daughter with crimson scales protruding from her forehead, unaware that from her ancestors she carried dragon blood in her veins. Thus, they decided to child name her after the Elven word for ruby, iriador.

Iri spent her childhood in the fabled city of Evereska, where her natural affinity for fire magic was quickly discovered. Subsequently, she was mentored by the best teachers how to control her wild flames. "One day", they would say to her, "you may need to use them to protect herself or others." This reasoning only strengthened her desire to leash her power more tightly.

Though she faced some resistance from her parents, she eventually left Evereska to explore the world outside of her birthplace's cloistered walls, settling down in Baldur's Gate as an artisan, which she put her all into. Her daily life was mundane but safe, with not a soul aware of her prodigial upbringing, or so she thought...
